Trigg Ison Fine Art: Three Decades of Modern Masters, Now Fully Virtual

Not every art gallery needs a storefront to make an impression.

For more than thirty years, Trigg Ison Fine Art has quietly built a reputation among collectors for specializing in early 20th-century Modernist and Art Deco paintings and sculpture. Founded in 1992, the gallery spent more than twenty-five years in West Hollywood before making an interesting transition in September 2025: it became a fully virtual gallery.

The move wasn't about scaling back. It was about expanding the gallery's reach while keeping the same careful eye that has guided it from the beginning.

Over the years, Trigg Ison has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States, seeking out exceptional figurative works by both established and underappreciated Modernist artists. The gallery has represented artists including Robert McIntosh, Ron Blumberg, Eugene Ivanoff, Maurice Green, Fidan Kim, Igor Sazevich, Robert Russin, Jan Frans DeBoever, Jirayr Zorthian, Gustav Rehberger, Burton Freund, and Jessica Rice.

The gallery has also presented a number of notable exhibitions. In 2006, it launched its contemporary division with the American premiere of French artist Gravleur in collaboration with Johnny Depp. Other exhibitions have featured artists such as Andre Masson, Borislav Bogdanovich, Chuck Connelly, Patricia Knop, and Darren LeGallo, whose exhibition was hosted with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake.

Today, the gallery continues to add new works on a regular basis while offering something many collectors appreciate: Personalized Art Consultation. Whether someone is purchasing their first original painting or expanding a collection they've built over many years, Trigg Ison Fine Art provides one-on-one guidance, collection evaluations, acquisition advice, artist recommendations, and long-term collecting strategies tailored to each client's interests and goals. Because the gallery now operates virtually, these personalized consultations are available by video no matter where clients are located.

Principal Trigg Ison is also beginning a weekly series of articles designed to make collecting more approachable, covering topics such as buying original art with confidence, understanding value, and building a meaningful collection over time.

Art collecting can feel intimidating from the outside. Trigg Ison Fine Art takes a different approach by combining decades of experience with thoughtful, personal guidance, helping collectors discover works they can enjoy for years to come.
